An Eye-witness Account of a Traffic Accident
When I was going back home from college at four o'clock in the afternoon last Friday, June 13th,
2003, I witnessed a terrible car accident. The accident took place on the iddle Fuxin Road.
As far as I could remember, I was walking on the pavement when a blue Santana swiftly passed by. When it approached a truck parked on the roadside, suddenly, a girl stepped out from behind the truck. On seeing the girl, the car driver pulled a sudden brake. But it was too late. The girl was hit by the car and bounced off at least three meters. Then she lay on the road, her legs were seemingly injured. The police and the ambulance arrived in less than five minutes and the girl was sent to hospital immediately.
That is all I had seen.To me the main cause of the accident might be like this: The girl was just about to walk to the other side of the road when the car moved near. But for the big car, she should have seen the approaching danger. Unfortunately, her vieas blocked by the huge vehicle, which eventually led to the tragedy.

Last Saturday evening, my friends and I went to a restaurant to attend my classmate Wang Lin’s birthday party. We brought him many pretty gifts, and shared a big birthday cake. Then we had dinner happily together. After that, we sang songs and danced. In the end, we returned home by taxi. All of us had a good time.
Nowadays, more and more students celebrate their birthdays in restaurants. There are different voices from people, but personally, (1)I think it O. With the improvement of people’s living standard, we can do things we like with our pocket money. On the one hand, it’s a good chance for us to communicate with each other, which can promote our friendship. On the other hand, we can also relax ourselves after a week’s hard work, free from high pressures.
(2)I don’t think it good to do so.
On the one hand, it is a waste of time for us Senior 3 students, which should be spent more meaningfully on our studies. On the other hand, it is also a waste of money, and thus students are more likely to keep up with the Joneses, which does great harm to their personality.
